Giving birth is very well the most profound experience a woman will ever have. It can
fully transform her into the amazing, strong, powerful creature she has always been
capable of becoming. I for one have experienced this. I knew shortly after the birth of
my first child that I wanted to focus my professional life around supporting families
during pregnancy, childbirth & the postpartum period.
I hold dual masters degrees in Counseling & Public Health with a concentration in
Maternal & Infant Health. I became a DONA certified doula in 2003. I birthed my two
beautiful children Michaela (5) in the hospital and Elijah (2), who was born at home
using a birthing pool and using deep relaxation. We are currently expecting our 3rd
blessing due in April 2006. I have been teaching secular childbirth classes now for 3
years. With the full support of my best friend and husband of 11 years, Adam, I am
now feeling led by the Lord to focus my energy on Christian Centered Childbirth. I am
also La Leche League Leader & active in Attachment Parenting.
I offer counseling focusing on pre-conception, pregnancy & postpartum issues
(infertility, high risk pregnancy, early loss/miscarriage, birth trauma, depression etc.
as well as play therapy for young children. I offer Christian Doula services &
Childbirth Education Classes.
