HOW IS THIS CLASS DIFFERENT?
Aside from the additional Christian content,
this correspondence course is far more detailed
than the two-day seminar given by other training
organizations.  Many have difficulty retaining the
information learned in a weekend seminar, therefore,
the class is spread it out over a course of 8 weeks
(11 weeks for dual).

WHY IS THIS FORMAT BETTER?
In this format, you have time to assimilate what you learned.  Another big
difference is that there is a quiz after each module.  With other
organizations, there is no formal quiz or method of making sure you have
actually learned what you were taught.  The quiz is not hard at all, but it
is really a tool to make sure there aren't any areas that need polishing and
to motivate you to retain what you are learning.

WHAT TIME COMMITMENT AM I LOOKING AT?
The module is delivered to the group on Monday morning and the open
book quiz for that module is given on the subsequent Friday; due by the
following Monday at 5pm.  The subsequent class will be delivered to you
then, and you will work through the series one week at a time.

HOW IS THE CLASS SET UP?
The first five classes are the general education regarding pregnancy,
delivery, and postpartum.  The following three classes are for the
specialty with which you are certifying.

CAN I SKIP AHEAD?
No.  The reason for going through the course like a college class is so that
you might reflect on what you have learned and soak it up.  It also gives
you opportunity to offer your insight to the rest of the class and everyone
learns from each other.  Additionally, as this class gets taught a few more
times, it will be presented as a bona fide college course as this profession
becomes more prestigious and recognized by academia.

CAN I DO BOTH DOULA AND CBE AT THE SAME TIME?
Yes.  You will go through the 8 week course as usual, and add the
additional 3 specialty classes from the second certification.
