I have 4 children of my own. Twin boys (9) that were born c-section. I knew
nothing about birth, other than reading a book! I did know that I wanted to
breastfeed them and even though it was a challange at first, they were
breastfeed for over a year. I knew that God had a better plan for childbirth.
I set out to educate myself and find out God's plan.My third son is 5 and
was a completely natural hospital delivery. I had my husband a doula by
my side! My daughter finishes my family, she was born at home in a lovely
birth with my midwives, doulas, husband and sister-in-law present. I love
birth and seeing how God has made all things work together!

I am a Christian, wife and a mom of 5 amazing children, 3 of them hospital births, 2 homebirths. One of those
homebirths was attended by a midwife and the other was an unassisted homebirth. I believe it is an honour to be able
to participate with families in the divine experience of childbirth. I believe that as Christians we need to fellowship with
other believers on all matters including pregnancy and childbirth, allowing opportunities for God to bring support and
information to us all. I also believe that sometimes a woman may just desire the company of someone who is educated
in childbirth to be present during her birth, that is perfectly fine :) and she should be able to have that if she so choses.
There are so many ways in which a doulas presence and personal touch could be a blessing during childbirth
experience. Visit my website for more information or email me for a free appointment so that you can decide if I am the
doula for you!

I have always been fascinated by the miracle of pregnancy and birth. It was the
midwives who attended the births of my three children who taught me the
importance of care, support, encouragement and education for the mother-to-be.
I am a DONA certified birth doula (I provide physical, emotional and educational
support throughout your pregnancy and at your everyday miracle’s birth), a
CAPPA trained Postpartum Doula (to provide support and encouragement during t
he first few weeks postpartum as you adjust to being a family) and I am a CAPPA trained Childbirth Educator teaching
Christ-centered and secular Childbirth Education classes for couples and groups. My classes are practical and
educational preparation for your upcoming birth and your transition into parenthood.
Shortly after beginning my journey to become a doula, I discovered that I was expecting my third child - this not only
added a few challenges physically supporting clients as my girth expanded but also reminded me how powerful a
birthing woman is and how miraculous the process of conception, gestation and birth are. The verse "I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14 popped into my mind. With each of my
births (both as a professional and as a mother), I have learnt so much about the birthing process and about myself. I
believe that God has designed our bodies perfectly to carry, deliver and nourish our babies. Unfortunately we have
lost that belief in our culture and often don’t even think that there is (or should be) a place for God at our births. I pray
that more women will invite and welcome their Creator and Father to their births – one woman at a time! God bless.

I am a prenatal and postnatal Doula working in the Grey, Bruce, Huron, Perth area of Ontario. When I was at my first
birth I felt it was wonderful to be able to share God's presense during the labour. To tell the young mother that God
had His angels watching over her and would bring good to her life was a blessing for the couple and for myself.
