
The Program is designed to provide childbirth professionals with a way to demonstrate their understanding of the practical application of skills in the childbirth educator profession from a Christian perspective. Cascade honors the experience and knowledge gained by each individual and has therefore created a certification program that adheres to the highest of standards in the paraprofessional community. You will be able to demonstrate that you have acquired the necessary information and skills in order to perform in the role of a childbirth educator. After applying, participants will have one year to complete the program. Part One: * Become a member of Cascade at the appropriate level. * Apply to the Christian Childbirth Educator Certification Program.
* Complete 3 book reviews * Complete CBE Modules * Observe a childbirth education series and submit an evaluation of the class, with the instructor's signature verifying that you have observed the entire class. Part Three (Practical Assessment) * Document 12 hours of childbirth classes that you have taught. (Option to purchase Christian Childbirth Class Curriculum) * Successfully pass the challenge test with a score of 80% or higher. Part Four (Finalization) * Sign Cascade’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Service. * Submit all documents in one packet with the Certification Program Submission form. Cascade will review the Certification Program Packet and send a certificate designating you as a Christian Certified Birth Educator (CCBE) or Christian Certified Labor Doula (CCLD). Please allow up to 6 weeks for processing.
